Bike Nite.
A fews weeks back we purchased a bike trailer for Trent and it quickly became “Trent’s chariot”. He loves to go on bike rides! We usually end up biking through the neighborhood a few times during the week. A favorite destination is Dodge Park which has a playground and Thursday night free concerts. Happy Biking!
Parenting 101
We celebrated Father’s Day in Grand Rapids. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and attended the wedding of a close family friend. The day seemed to going well. Trent got to spend time hamming it up with Aunt Melany, Uncle Cam and Uncle Corwin. The picture below is Trent in his “hamming it up” mood…
We arrived at the reception and things quickly started to go down hill! Notice that Trent is looking a little flushed and he only wanted to be held at all times…
As you can see, Trent apparently isn’t feeling very well!
Trent NEVER just falls asleep at a noisy, busy unfamiliar place. However, he fell asleep with Grandpa Jones and Uncle Cam…
Finally, he made his way to Mom’s lap and eventually perked up and SEEMED to be feeling a little better. I had the great idea of offering Trent a banana since he didn’t have much to eat all day…and this is where the photos stop!
Seconds after this photo was taken Trent “lost his banana” all over my dress, himself, the chair and the floor. Did I mention we were at a wedding reception in Grand Rapids! We were able to quickly exit the reception and get back to Great Grandma Jones’ house to clean up. Trent and I didn’t make it to church this morning, but stayed back and continued recuperating. We are safely home, Trent is feeling much better and I am doing laundry. We will end with the wise words of Grandpa Jones, “Sorry about Trent, but I wondered if he could hold down that banana. Welcome to Parenting 101…at least you’re not the guy who got stuck in the elevator right after you left the reception!”
